Lara nods absently, listening to the two parties in front of her arguing backwards and forwards. They were arguing a minor territorial point and Lara had been asked to see if she could settle it. She was going to kill Annlie for bringing these people with her.

TXT: I'm going to kill Annalie for bringing these two with her.
TXT: Either that or stab myself in the ears with my pen so at least I don't have to listen to them any more.
TXT: Save me?

Do the police need to raid your place? We can do that.

I'm pretty sure that would actually make things worse. And probably make them louder. Is it still murder if they're really, really annoying me?

Very illegal. But if you seduced the detective in charge I bet he'd bungle the case for you.

Does that count if I get someone other than you assigned to my case? I don't think James Thornton would fall for any of my usual tricks without help, for instance.

Still, maybe I should just avoid the whole murder thing. Just in case.

Just tell them if they can't come to a decision the first one to count all the grains can have it.

These guys are rich. They would absolutely hire teams of scientists to do exactly that.

There's a part of me that really, really wants to do that. Two rich men, kneeling in the sand with a spoon. I just got a funny look for smiling.

That's what I'd do. I'm sure they'd come to an agreement quickly.

Remind me never to have you mediate any of my meetings. You'd spark a war.

I'd have them spilling all their horrible secrets in no time for tons of leverage.

And then war. So much war. These two seem to want a war. I might have to break up a fist fight. I'm about this close to just slapping them both with my power and grinding them under my boot.

Because picking teeth off the carpet is never a fun way to spend an afternoon. I like my carpet. I don't want blood stains all over it.

Not that I don't want to, but I'm a siren in an office currently full of sirens. You don't think that might be a recipe for disaster?
