The car was beautiful...Lara had to admit. She slides into the car when he holds the door open for her and pulls out her phone as he's coming around the car, rifling through the photos until she finds her baby.

It was impossible not to be at least slightly distracted by Lara as he drove home. It would have been a problem except for the fact that since they were driving away from the mass of people at the party his headache subsided some, settling I to a dull ache.

"It was my 16th birthday present, actually," he said. "It used to belong to my grandfather, until he wrecked it. My dad had it fixed up and given to me so I'd shut up about wanting a motorcycle. Levi had never been jealous of his car before but seeing Lara touch it like, he certainly was right then. He made a mental note to later bring up the idea of sex in the car, assuming sex all over the inside of his house didn't go horribly awry.

"My father's thinking was that it offered more protection than a motorcycle helmet. That and it was so distinctive I'd never get away with racing it."

"Well you'll have your answer soon enough," he said, pulling up to the house and parking the car in the car port. A jolt of nervousness ran through him as he realized that this was it. The culmination of a night of flirting was coming to a head and the theoretical was about to become practical. Getting out, he opened the door for her and offered her his arm.

"I can be a gentleman a bit longer, but once we're through the door all bets are off," he said with a grin, his words more of a promise than a threat.

Unlocking the door, Levi felt his stomach flutter one last time as he held it open for her.
