So they don't mean to kill her. At least not right away. Corry takes a deep breath. She has to think. She's out-numbered, over-powered. She closes her eyes for a moment, travels to an old friend - an old character. She's no longer Corrine Flynn, but Samantha Neptune. Samantha would know what to do. How many times had she been in tight spots? Tied, apprehended, moments from death... What would Samantha do?
Corry can't move her hands. But her fingers are close enough together that she can slide a ring from her finger. Its too small to be noticed as it falls in the dark. But if they need to find her - Leslie will know to comb the beach and someone will connect the ring to Corry.
Then she goes completely still. If she's compliant, there's less chance of getting hurt - she hopes.
