Levi did mind, actually. Giving too much information up front often lead people to try and recall what they thought was relevant or helpful when it was usually better to first get as much unfiltered information as possible. Sometimes that upset people but he wasn't a detective to make friends.

"I promise to answer as many of your questions as I can before you go," Levi told her. "Have you happened to notice anything or anyone odd in the past few weeks? A face that keeps popping up that you don't recall seeing before?"
